Police moving quickly on a call of a burglary in progress last Wednesday stopped a black BMW and arrested the driver, who they said broke into a Fair Lawn home moments earlier.

A second man fled.

This morning, however, Detectives Jeffrey Welsh and Timothy O’Shaughnessy, along with Detective Sgt. Brian Metzler and Detective Lt. Michael Uttel arrested 28-year-old Maximino Rosa at his home on Martin Luther King Boulevard in Newark.

Rosa was being processed and taken to the Bergen County Jail, where he was to be held on $50,000 bail, pending a Municipal Court hearing on charges of burglary and theft.
