SPOTLIGHT: Fair Lawn police officers who performed a host of heroic feats the past year were honored by PBA Local 67 at a special awards ceremony at the Fair Lawn Athletic Club.

“Our men and women in blue put their lives on the line daily and are often confronted with dire situations,” said Fair Lawn PBA President Michael O’Brien.

“We are proud of all of our officers and their outstanding accomplishments.”

Those honored include:

Lt. Robert V. Kneer, who organized a detail to catch a suspected car thief, with the help of Detective Timothy O’Shaughnessy and Officer Anthony Lugo, after a brief foot chase.

The officers each received a Meritorious Service Award.
