The victim was crossing Rock Road parallel to the railroad tracks when the Toyota Camry came down Main Street, turned left and struck him at 7:19 p.m. Wednesday, Lt. Daniel Dour told Daily Voice.
He was taken to Hackensack University Medical Center, Dour said.
The driver stopped, kept going and then was pointed out by witnesses nearby, the lieutenant said.
She received summonses for careless driving and failing to report an accident.
Glen Rock Police Officer Greg Carter investigated along with the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office Fatal Accident Investigation Unit, which handed the case over to borough police after doctors said the victim's injuries weren't life-threatening.
