No Injuries In Glen Rock Library Fire

UPDATE: Glen Rock officials hope to reopen the fire-damaged public library by early next week, Mayor Bruce Packer said Tuesday.

GLEN ROCK, N.J. -- No injuries were reported Monday night after a light fixture sparked a small fire at the Glen Rock Library.

Fire Chief Tom Jennings joined staff in using extinguishers to snuff the flames after the call came in at 6:24 p.m. and the library was evacuated, fire officials said.

Lt. Thomas Pimlott removed the light fixture and two computers that were damaged by fire, they said.

Firefighter ventilated the building.

Also responding were Hawthorne firefighters and Glen Rock police.
